Scholarly visit + collegial ambiance = publication for Yufang and Li Keli
Dan McIntyre writes:
“Li Keli (Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, China) was a Visiting Scholar last year. While sharing an office with our research fellow Yufang Ho, they discovered they both had interests in corpus linguistics and translation studies and consequently did some work together on Chinese translations of Orwell’s 1984. Their article has just been published and the reference is as follows:
Li, K. and Y. Ho. (2016) ‘A corpus-based comparative study on George Orwell’s 1984 Chinese translation strategies’, Studies in Literature and Language 13(2): 26-33.
The article can be downloaded from: http://cscanada.net/index.php/sll/article/view/8671/0.”
I’m told that Keli’s banqueting skills were also a wonderful addition to the social scene at Huddersfield and are much missed!
Congratulations Keli and Yufang!
