Rebecca Woods wins the Richard M. Hogg Prize
Last week it was announced that our own Dr Rebecca Woods has won the Richard M. Hogg prize for a paper she has written titled 'Towards a model of the syntax-discourse interface: a syntactic analysis of 'please'. The prize is awarded by the International Society for the Linguistics of English (ISLE). Rebecca won £500 and the chance to present her award-winning research at next year's ISLE conference.
Well done, Rebecca!
