Advice for students at the LAGB and more kudos for Land

Faculty member Rebecca Woods, who is also External Relations Officer for the Linguistics Association of Great Britain (LAGB), took part in a panel at the recent LAGB Meeting on getting into a career in academia.

Topics covered included job applications, interviews, grant proposals, publishing and conference presentations. Any students interested in this advice should feel free to pop into OA4/21 for a chat!

It was also announced at the meeting that Huddersfield's Elliott Land was longlisted for the LAGB's new Outstanding Dissertation in Linguistics Prize. The competition was fierce, and we're proud of Elliott for doing so well. You can see the longlist and the winners on the LAGB website here.
