Mind style on paper and stage: a trip to West Yorkshire Playhouse

Louise Nuttall and a group of second and third year students went to the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds to see Still Alice this week.

Still Alice tells the story of a linguist who develops Alzheimer's disease and explores the effect of the condition on her language, mind and body. As the students have been studying the presentation of mind and thought in a range of texts, including Still Alice, this was the ideal opportunity to see how these issues translated to the stage.
