Welcome to Hugo, Francine and the start of the Hansard project!
It's a wonderful start to the week in Linguistics at Huddersfield as we welcome two new members of the team, both of whom will be working on Lesley Jeffries and Alex von Lünen's Hansard project.
First up, Hugo Sanjurjo González joins us from the University of León, where he received his PhD in corpus linguistics. He's taking up the position of Research Fellow Programmer, where he'll be developing the online interface to the Hansard corpus and much more.
Our other newbie is more familiar - Francine de Jager completed her MA English Language and Applied Linguistics at Huddersfield last year and is back as the Hansard project administrative support.
A huge welcome (and bienvenido, and welkom!) to both Hugo and Francine and we wish them luck in their new roles.
